RSVP FOR JUNE 7TH

UNION BALLOT BONANZA

Fight for Worker Power at the Ballot Box

Every budget, benefit, workplace protection, and public service we rely on is debated and decided by the people Colorado elects. Whether it's funding higher education, protecting public libraries, defending health care workers, safeguarding civil and constitutional rights, or ensuring workers have a voice on the job, elections have real consequences for our lives.

That's why union members can't afford to sit on the sidelines.

On June 7, CWA members and allies will be hitting the doors across Colorado to support candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working people, those living poverty, or accused of crimes and who understand that our economy should work for the people, not just billionaires, corporate executives, and special interests. Together, we'll be talking with our neighbors before ballots drop about why this election matters and why workers need to be heard at the ballot box just as loudly as we are heard on the picket line.

We will be supporting candidates including Julie Gonzales for U.S. Senate, David Seligman for Attorney General, Murray Smith for CU Regent, Chauncy Johnson and Steph Vigil for State House, and Jenn Kaaoush for Boulder County Treasurer.

Fighting the Oligarchy Starts in Our Workplaces, but it Doesn't End There

Across the country, working people are facing a growing concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a small number of corporations and billionaires. While workers struggle with the rising costs of housing, groceries, health care, and child care, corporate profits continue to soar.

The way we push back is by organizing in our workplaces, in our communities, and at the ballot box.

Electing candidates who listen to workers instead of corporate lobbyists helps create the conditions where unions can grow, workers can organize without fear, public services can be strengthened, and civil rights can be protected. The decisions made by elected officials affect everything from labor laws and workplace protections to public funding and economic opportunity. When workers vote and organize together, we build the power necessary to challenge systems that put profits ahead of people.

Voting is a fundamental right and responsibility. Electing worker-friendly candidates who will help strengthen our position with our employers is key to guaranteeing we have the ability to protect our future.

On June 7, CWA members will be knocking doors in:

  • Fort Collins - Avogardo’s Number - 3:00PM

  • Lafayette - Stem Ciders - 12:00PM

  • Colorado Springs - Chinook Center - 1:00 PM

Whether you're a seasoned organizer or have never knocked a door before, we'll make sure you have everything you need to be successful. We'll provide training, walk lists, campaign materials, free food, CWA swag, and plenty of worker solidarity.

Most importantly, you'll be helping build the worker power we need to win better workplaces, stronger communities, and a future where working people, not billionaires like Philip Anschutz, have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect our lives.

On June 30, vote in the Democratic Primary like your job, civil rights, workplace protections, and your coworkers' paychecks depend on it.

Because they do.

RSVP above to help make sure CWA's voice is heard across Colorado.
